Waxing Mythological
These images represent a selection from an ongoing personal project, in which I explore mythological and historical figures, creatures, and stories using Crayola crayons. The medium unites a common childhood activity with stories told across time and from all around the world. By using such a simple (and, at times, uncooperative) medium, I am forced to find innovative new approaches to both artwork and storytelling.
